What is the downside of Invisalign?

The primary downside of Invisalign is the extreme level of self-discipline required to achieve results. Unlike traditional braces, which are permanently attached to your teeth, Invisalign trays are removable, making it easy to forget to put them back in or leave them out for too long. This flexibility can lead to treatment delays if you aren’t committed to the twenty-two-hour daily wear rule. Another disadvantage involves the “attachments” or “buttons”, small, tooth-colored bumps bonded to your teeth to help the trays grip. These can feel rough when the trays are out and may be visible to others. Besides, the constant need to remove the trays and brush your teeth after every snack or drink can be socially inconvenient during long meals or outings.
